Locations
Capitol Harmony School of Music offers lessons in Washington, DC at three locations, depending on the teacher and schedule.
St. John’s Episcopal Church (Georgetown)
Most music lessons take place at St. John’s Episcopal Church, a convenient and familiar space for students and families. Guitar, piano, and early childhood lessons are offered at this location, primarily in the Choir Room.
Guitar lessons are taught on Wednesdays and Thursdays by Julien Xuereb. Early childhood classes take place on Fridays and Saturdays with Larisa McKay, who also teaches piano lessons on those days.
As the church remains locked, parents and students should text their teacher upon arrival to be let in.
In addition to lessons, we collaborate with the gallery on live performances, which are shared on our social media pages.
L’Enfant Gallery (Georgetown)
Piano lessons on Wednesdays are held on the second floor at L’Enfant Gallery, a unique and inspiring art space in Georgetown.
Lessons are taught by Karine Koroukian, who specializes in working with adults and children ages 8 and up.
After 6 PM, the gallery is closed, and the entrance for music lessons is the green door on P Street. Students should text the teacher upon arrival to be let in.
Students and parents are welcome to explore the gallery before or after lessons. Children must be accompanied at all times.
Julien’s Guitar Studio (Adams Morgan)
Guitar lessons on Mondays and Tuesdays are held at a private studio in Adams Morgan, located in Dorchester House next to Meridian Hill Park.
Lessons are taught by Julien Xuereb, founder and director of Capitol Harmony School of Music.
Students should ring the front desk upon arrival, sign in, and take the elevator to the fourth floor.
