Studio Policy
Welcome to Capitol Harmony!
We are honored to support you on your musical journey.
These terms and conditions apply to all lessons during the 2025–2026 school year and are updated annually each fall, particularly to reflect the exact dates of scheduled breaks. Capitol Harmony School of Music will notify all enrolled students and guardians when the updated policy is available on the website.
Tuition & Scheduling
Lessons are held weekly at a fixed time and billed on the first of each month.
Tuition is calculated according to lesson length and depends on the type of lesson (individual or class). Rates and available time slots will be provided during the registration process.
Please note that Capitol Harmony remains open during national holidays. See the Attendance & Make-Up Lessons section of this policy for more details.
Break Periods (No Regular Lessons)
To allow for scheduling flexibility, no regular lessons will be held during the following breaks:
Thanksgiving Week: November 24–30, 2025
Winter Period: December 21, 2025 – January 4, 2026
Summer Period: July 1 – August 31, 2026
Students enrolled in private lessons may purchase additional lessons during these periods at the previously agreed-upon rate.
Attendance & Make-Up Lessons
Missed lessons cannot be refunded but can be rescheduled if notice is provided at least 48 hours in advance.
In cases of illness or family emergency, a last-minute cancellation may be rescheduled, subject to the teacher’s availability and discretion. The teacher may choose to extend one or more lessons or invite the student to attend during another student’s absence.
If fewer than four lessons are offered in a month due to teacher absence, students will receive a credit or refund at the previously agreed-upon rate.
If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time.
To discontinue lessons, a 30-day notice is required. The 30-day period begins on the date written notice is sent to admin@capitolharmony.com—not at the start of the next billing cycle. All lessons scheduled during this 30-day period must be paid in full, regardless of attendance.
